Accreditation

ϲʹ is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. ϲʹ also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. ϲʹ established its nationally acclaimed in 1986. It was the first new pharmacy program founded in the United States in more than 35 years. Since its inception, Doctor of Pharmacy graduates have maintained a cumulative 98 percent first-time passage rate on the national pharmacy board exams. In addition to the pharmacy program, the College offers a bachelor of science in nursing, undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical research and pharmaceutical sciences, a master’s degree in public health, and a professional degree in physician assistant practice as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

ϲʹ’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 190 South LaSalle Street, Suite 3000, Chicago, IL 60603, 312/664- 3575; FAX 866/228-2631, web site .

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the ϲʹ Physician Assistant Program sponsored by ϲʹ. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

 Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2034. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy. The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at .

The ϲʹ Master of Science in Public Health is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health ().

The NC Board of Nursing (NCBON) ratified ϲʹ’s Full Approval status at a Board meeting on May 25, 2018.

The Lundy-Fetterman School of Business undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by and in good standing with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). ACBSP is a global organization that provides specialized accreditation for business degree programs. The ACBSP accreditation review draws from the processes instantiated by Baldrige Performance Excellence Program for continuous improvement. The ϲʹ Business accreditation applies to business programs offered on the main campus and at the extended campus locations at Fort Liberty, Camp Lejeune, Raleigh Campus, and ϲʹ Online.

PGA Golf Management Program Accreditation

ϲʹ Business School’s PGA Golf Management program is accredited by the Professional Golfers’ Association of America and is one of only 18 schools in the nation to have a golf management program accredited by the PGA.


Trust & Wealth Management Program Accreditation

ϲʹ has the distinction of being registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Graduates of the Trust and Wealth Management Program are eligible to sit for the national CFP® Certification Examinations and earn this most prestigious of all certifications.

The CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification marks are the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. Only 64,000 planners worldwide have met the rigorous education, examination, experience and ethics requirements necessary to call themselves CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals or CFP® practitioners.

The Professional Education Department offers a Bachelor of Science in birth to kindergarten education, educational studies, elementary education, middle grades education, special education, and psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work. The School also offers a Master of School Administration, and M.Ed. in education and interdisciplinary studies. In addition the School offers the professional education component for undergraduate teacher licensure in biology, English, mathematics, music, health and physical education, social studies, Spanish, and Visual Arts.

ϲʹ is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The programs listed below have been awarded full accreditation by AAQEP through December 31, 2030. Accreditation acknowledges that a program prepares effective educators who continue to grow as professionals and has demonstrated the commitment and capacity to maintain quality.

The Master’s level counseling program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Since its founding in 1976, the has developed lawyers who possess moral conviction, social compassion and professional competence, and who view the law as a calling to serve others. ϲʹ Law boasts more than 3,500 alumni, including more than 2,400 who reside and work in North Carolina. The American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) accredits osteopathic medical education programs leading to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in the United States (programmatic accreditation).

To achieve and maintain accreditation, an osteopathic medical education program leading to the DO degree must meet the standards delineated in the COCA COM Continuing Accreditation Standards provided on the .

At its April 11, 2024 meeting, the Commission of Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) granted the ϲʹ Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM) Accreditation with Exceptional Outcome status, with the next accreditation review scheduled for 2034. Accreditation with Exceptional Outcome status is the highest level of accreditation awarded by the COCA at this time.
